ART DIRECTOR | CG GENERALIST | LIGHTER

I come from environment, lighting, character, matte painting, sculpting, and generalist work in VFX, so making things feel grounded and cinematic has always been home for me. I spent my first decade in traditional VFX across Marvel, Lucasfilm, WB, and others, and the past decade working inside Unreal Engine; helping directors, production designers, and DPs build worlds, plan shots, and translate their story into Unreal Engine scenes that could guide production.

When I’m building a shot, I start with the scenes story beat, character and the mood, then block things out fast: a quick world in Unreal, some lighting, cameras, and a temp character so filmmakers can react to something real right away. My background across art direction, CG, and lighting helps me focus the effort where it counts, stage things clearly, and keep the visuals strong without wasting time.

People usually lean on me when they’re building their worlds — whether they need a fast visual storyboard, help staging a tricky camera shot, figuring out the right process to use (VP, VFX, or AI), or hitting a high-quality bar for a specific scene. I help plan and execute the shot, then push it until it lands. Whether it’s lookdev, lighting, or technical R&D, I try to bring a calm, collaborative energy and give teams a visual direction they can trust.
