Megalopolis

Megalopolis had a tight schedule and ambitious scope. Over 15 weeks, a small team led by Safari delivered roughly five minutes of final VFX work, focused on large-scale environments and city reveals. After an initial technical test, we stepped in to design, light, and deliver four sequences using Unreal Engine as the core tool.

Working in Unreal Engine 5.3 with the Path Tracer, we handled layout, lighting, and camera passes in a flexible, real-time pipeline. Some shots were taken to final, while others were delivered as film-ready environments for downstream rendering and compositing—using Unreal as the connective tissue between previs, environment design, and final VFX.
