The Mandalorian – Season 3

Finals at the Speed of Previs, Straight out of Unreal Engine.

Season 3 was our fourth project with Lucasfilm, and by then, the virtual production process had significantly evolved. We focused on pushing real-time environments in pre-production closer to final-pixel quality, keeping the workflow fast, flexible, and ready for production.

Many of the environments went straight to Unreal Engine ICVFX shoots, while others were extended in post or rendered using the Helios Engine. With new key creatives onboard, we introduced them to the virtual production design process and led virtual location scouts. We built sets using a mix of original designs and library assets sourced from VFX, set design teams, and online, continuing to support each department from concept through to final delivery.
