Obi-Wan Kenobi
Supporting Two Star Wars Shows Side by Side
Obi-Wan was our fifth Lucasfilm project. We built a range of environments, onboarded new creatives, and worked closely with VFX supervisors to refine the virtual production process. It was also the first time we supported two Lucasfilms productions in parallel, managing both Obi-Wan and The Mandalorian Season 3 simultaneously.
Safari led as supervising VAD art director across both shows, with dedicated teams and VAD supervisors to preserve each project’s visual identity. Felix worked alongside the VFX supervisor to shape budgets and evolve the pipeline for team integration and environment ingestion.
We built teams, supported a shared asset library, and ran virtual scouts, working closely with key creatives to push each world as far as possible during the creative development process. We also helped onboard new VFX supervisors and delivered animated previs scenes to align the vision before final set builds.
