Hard Life Reset
A year ago, Safari and I walked away from Narwhal Studios, the company we spent a decade building with Virtual Art Department at its core. We learned a lot we look forward to apply to future adventures.
Safari & Felix came out of that reset, a creative blog and videos focused on designing worlds and how to use VP successfully.
Rebuilding
We’ve been asking ourselves what we’d do differently if we restarted today. We’re going to start with a practice, learning and sharing what we learn with the public.
Our latest project is a TV proof of concept blending virtual production and AI, documented end-to-end. Each month we’ll share lessons, breakdowns, and thoughts.

The Shift Forward
We’re not on the “AI will fix everything” wavelength. Instead, we’re using our experience to figure out where AI actually fits and when it helps.
We hope to pull back the curtain on what we’ve learned building for the LED Volume, collaborating with directors and their filmmakers, and using innovative workflows. Now we’re focused on helping others do the same, through education, creative work, and production support, and we’ll keep sharing what we learn along the way.
